Air Movers Accelerate a Crawl Space Moisture Issue

A homeowner in Revenel, SC was experiencing mold growth in the home due to a high moisture level in the crawl space. It had only been 6 months since buying the home, and they mentioned air movers had been installed in order to air out the crawl space. Unfortunately, air movers actually accelerate the rate of the humid air entering the crawl space rather than helping to dry it.
In order to find the best solution to keep the crawl space dry and mold-free, they scheduled a free inspection with one of our system design specialists to unveil the full extent of the problem and propose effective solutions. After a thorough inspection, our inspector recommended having a CleanSpace Encapsulation System installed in order to reduce and control the moisture entering the crawl space. Additionally, the floor required additional support in multiple areas so a SmartJack Support System was recommended in those areas.
Our team installed both systems to completely transform the crawl space environment into a clean, dry, healthy space.

Floor Gap Indicating Sagging Crawl Space

This home in Soperton, GA had a gap growing in between the floor and the baseboard of the wall. Our inspector did a thorough investigation of the crawl space and found active termites that needed to be addressed before foundation repairs could be made. After the home was treated by a termite company, our inspector was then able to assess the stability of the floor and found that it was still reliably supportive, but it had weakened, causing the floor to sag in the area there was a floor gap. In order to solve this issue, a SmartJack Support System was installed in the area where the floor was sagging. Then that system was used to attempt to lift the floor into a more level position and stabilize it in place.
